My life, thus far, has been a fun, creative journey as a fine artist, illustrator, writer and instructor. Originally I'm from Long island , N.Y. where i specialized in commission portrait work and murals for over 25 years. I then opened my own art studio at The Shoppes At Eastwind in Wading River , NY. called The Painted Canvas. I taught kids and adults of all ages drawing, composition and painting in many mediums but mostly acrylic for over 9 years. Every interesting twist in the road has led to another form of artistic expression. Inspired by my students, I wrote and illustrated my first children's book Allie The Artist The Spring Art Contest along with a collectable doll and lesson. Unfortunately my studio closed down during the covid pandemic which lead us to move to St Augustine. There I was completely inspired by the beauty and history of the city and decided to concentrate solely on my fine art and landscape. I was mostly a realist watercolor artist but never quite felt like i was expressing myself the way I was supposed to. After much prayer, God opened up my mind to try impressionism again but this time on a large scale. I wanted to go for a unique look and I love graphic, geometric shapes so I like to combine them with the impressionism for something completely different for the viewer. I call my technique modern impressionism. Originally I mostly focused on boats, bridges and buildings along with water for my designs, but as I grow as an artist I am enjoying expanding my look to other areas of composition like human form, wildlife, still life, floral and trees. I am so grateful to live in St Augustine and be a part of its thriving art community. I thank God for the blessings He has brought into my life and for giving me the passion to pursue fine art. Jesus is my reason for all I do and deserves all the glory! I hope you enjoy glancing at my past work as well! My current focus is solely on my modern mpressionism collection .All current work can be seen on exhibit currently at The Lightner Museum until July 17th and at Grand Bohemian Galleries in St Augustine, Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC where I also offer commission work based on my current style. Thank you for visiting my site and feel free to follow me on social media where I display my current and upcoming pieces.
